FAQ's

How do I know the carbon fibre is really from Schumacher’s B194?

Every wallet includes a signed certificate of authenticity detailing the carbon fibre's provenance. Verified due to the configuration, bolt hole placement, and specific sponsor details which are consistent with Benetton's number 5 car as run in the Japanese “Grand Prix”. This end plate has also been signed by Michael Schumacher himself.

How many cards can this wallet hold?

The has 6 card slots plus a slat for cash. We list capacity as 8 cards as this includes 2 cards in each the two largest slots.

Is this suitable as an everyday wallet or just for display?

Absolutely designed for daily use! The luxury Italian leather is durable, and the carbon fibre is securely embedded. Many customers use these as their primary wallet while owning a piece of F1 history.

What makes the leather in this wallet so luxury?

Badalassi Carlo Minerva leather is vegetable-tanned as opposed to a chrome-tanned leather, used on cheaper (and some expensive!) wallets. This will age beautifully for a lifetime and unlike chrome-tan leather, the surface will never come off.

How do I care for the leather?

The vegetable-tanned leather requires minimal care. Avoid excessive moisture and consider using a leather conditioner every 6-12 months to maintain its suppleness and appearance. Each wallet comes with full care instructons.

Is this a good investment piece?

While we can't guarantee appreciation, previous limited F1 memorabilia has historically held or increased value. This is the final release from this specific RB12 part, making it irreplaceable.

How limited is "limited edition"?

Only 340 wallets were ever be made from this B194 rear wing endplate. 170 in this release and 170 in the 2nd release, later on in 2025. Once they're gone, no more can be produced from this specific F1 car part.

Worth it!

Seemed a little spendy but now that I have it I have to say it is totally worth it. The quality of craftsmanship in itself would make me happy with the purchase but the history of the carbon piece makes it equal to none.

Outstanding piece of F1 history

As a longtime Schumacher fan, this wallet means everything to me. The fact that this carbon fibre was actually on Michael's car during his first championship season is incredible. The craftsmanship is exceptional - you can tell this isn't mass-produced. The leather has a really rich feel and smell and the carbon strip is perfectly integrated. My only small complaint is that it took a while to ship, but I understand these are handmade. Worth every penny.

Form, Function and Authenticity of the B194 Carbon Wallet

As someone who has collected Formula 1 memorabilia for over two decades, I approached this purchase with both excitement and skepticism. After six weeks of daily use, I can confidently state that this wallet successfully balances being both a functional accessory and a legitimate piece of motorsport history.
The leather exhibits the hallmarks of quality material - initially firm but developing nicely with use. The stitching is impeccable with no loose threads or alignment issues that often plague premium leather goods. The wallet maintains its structure even when fully loaded with cards.
Regarding authenticity, the carbon fiber element (I selected the light blue variant) appears consistent with period-correct B194 components. The certificate documentation includes specific provenance details of that era. The carbon strip is seamlessly integrated without compromising the wallet's integrity.
While £234 represents a significant investment, when compared to other F1 memorabilia containing authenticated race-used components, this actually represents reasonable value. Comparable items often command higher with less functionality.
The stainless steel chassis nameplate, while elegant, is susceptible to micro-scratches from daily handling.
Overall, A thoughtfully executed concept that delivers on its promises. Recommended for the discerning F1 enthusiast.

Good wallet, but pricey

Nice wallet, good quality. The carbon bit is genuine which is pretty special. Holds plenty of cards and the leather seems durable. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's quite expensive, but I suppose that's what you get for something limited edition. Would recommend if you've got the money to spare and love F1 like I do!
